Sunburst Pin

This pin can be both worn or framed and hung on a wall. It is made of jasper chips, , seed beads, tear drop beads, and batik fabric. It's funny, I started out making a necklace and the piece transformed before my very eyes.

Pear Trees
I sold this piece 6 weeks ago. It was a commission that took over a year to complete. Pear Trees includes photography, painting, quilting, embroidery and beadwork. What a strain it was--the largest piece I have ever done--about 42'' wide and 24" high. Even so, I kind of miss it and want to do another one but work it from a completely different angle. Nevertheless, I think I will let that idea gestate for a while and work on a few smaller pieces.

Inside the Cocoon
Inside the Cocoon is one of my favorite pieces. It began as a paper collage that I scanned into the computer and played with in Photoshop. Then I printed it onto fabric and went to town with stitching, and beadwork. Last year, it was accepted into the Small Art Quilts Show at the Main Street Gallery in upstate New York.

Creation

This piece started as a drawing, moved into a paper collage, and then was printed onto fabric and manipulated via photoshop, hand embroidery, beadwork, and quilting.
